About us

Celbase was founded in 2010 by me, Greg and my love for The "Real" Ghostbusters cartoon series which ran on our TV screens from September 13, 1986 to October 5, 1991, and was produced by Columbia Pictures Television, DiC Enterprises, and Coca-Cola Telecommunications.



Having just returned from MCM Comic Con in the summer and looking for The "Real" Ghostbusters memorabilia online, finding a few animation cels, I realised that there must be thousands if not millions of people in the UK and the world that watched many 70's, 80's and 90's cartoons that would love to own a piece of their childhood.

After long discussions with many galleries, studios and dealers mainly in the US I shipped thousands of original animation cels over to my little cottage in Chieveley, Berkshire. Almost loosing my fingers, I worked tirelessly night and day to hand mount and catalog all of them with care, love and attention.

Mixing original cel art with a show stand every year at comic conventions all over the UK. Celbase was born and now brings unique nostalgic original artwork to thousands of fans for them to enjoy as much as we do.

Over the years we have had some amazing times collecting, chatting and exhibiting our incredible selection. We've sold thousands of pieces to people all over the world allowing them to remember special moments from their childhoods.
